Ella's House are a Scottish company designing and manufacturing nappies in UK. The nappies are made from Hemp/cotton fabric and are particularly slim fitting and absorbant for their weight. The hemp used in the nappies is grown with no herbicides and few or no pesticides. They are available either as unlined Hemp Nappies or lined with micro fleece as Bumhuggers both with aplix or popper fastenings. The Bumhuggers have a fold out booster for quicker drying and a pocket for easy boosting. Both types of nappy require an additional waterproof outer wrap.
Hemp is slower drying than terry and microfibre and comparable to Bamboo fabric. In hard water areas the nappies may become a little 'crunchy' on line drying but will soften up if tumble dried for a short period of time (and when wee-d on!) Although the weight range for both is the same, the poppered nappies will generally fit a wider weight range than the aplix version.
